Having lost friends to addictions, this was my attempt to get inside the head of an addict and explain the pain they feel every day. This song is quite polarising as I’ve found singers who have had problems with addiction flatly refuse to sing it, while those who haven’t will happily sing it.

I asked a friend of mine why they were still with
their partner. This was the answer.

Vivienne and I were inspired by the bike riders
who ride around Port Phillip Bay in a day.

The words for this song were written by my late brother
Adrian who was very ill at the time. He was to sing the song,
but he was too unwell.
I would describe myself as a casual musician / songwriter with professional musician friends who are happy to lend a hand. I play basic piano with reasonable music theory skills. I use GarageBand and Logic.
My interest was rekindled when I helped an old school friend record some song outlines. I worked with others for a few years and now occasionally play with friends as “Undiagnosed”. I also play piano for the Belgium Avenue Neighbourhood House - Friday Chorus Program. This came about through my involvement with the house as treasurer.
